Born in Dannevirke New Zealand and started singing country music as a teenager and having passion for country music from a young age. My main influences at the beginning were Patsy Riggir and Suzanne Prentice. My Mum Connie started singing back in 1981 and encouraged both me and my sister to start. Over the years I had heard all the great singers in Country Music and it is very sad to see so many of them pass away recently. Once we started to hear more singers from the USA in the early 80 I was hooked on the Judds, Lorrie Morgan, Tanya Tucker then Later Shania Twain. About four years ago I moved to the Waikato to join and sing at the array of Clubs up here. Enter more awards. I had placed at awards a few years ago and I am thoroughly enjoying the ones up here. It’s been a great experience to sing at them. I just Love Country Music and decided last year I would record my very first Cd with the help of my son Ashton. So thanks to Mill Corner Recording Studio in Matamata with Michael Tipping and Kevin Tappin I have achieved that goal. The songs I choose for my first Cd have quite a bit of meaning for me and I made sure one of the Songs was Beautiful Lady by Patsy Riggir. She was one of the most influential people in country music for me and I will never forget the time she visited our club in Dannevirke a few years ago lol and she sung Beautiful Lady I have loved that song ever since.
I have admired many great woman of country like Tammy Wynette, Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton Just so many greats to name really. Just love keeping it country!!!!! My dream has always been to sing in Nashville and as I have achieved a few of my goals so far I know I can make it there if I never give up!
